Commonwealth Park - The Church stands boldly
along the highway. Brownstone, metal roof,

  1. We had a really bad experience today while trying to take a couple of pictures of this church. This girl comes wheeling up literally 1 minute after we just stopped on the side of the highway to tell us we had to leave immediately, right now, no pictures, no way no how and stared at us as we left like we were criminals. I was even picking up trash that had been in the yard for a long time. It was as if she was sitting 100 yards away just waiting for somebody to dare to stop there. Very very very rude and strange. Are they hiding something?

  2. We are trying to locate contact info for a legal investigation at this marvelous structure. NOT GHOST HUNTERS. More respectable than that. We try to get "their" story. Any leads would be most appreciated! -GwenBPI

  3. I stopped here today and got a good look around. Locked up but you can look through windows into basement. Several graves nearby. There are one or more no trespassing signs. I just ignored them. Would. Be interested in historical background of this place. Beautiful stone wall surrounds it. My guess early 1900s. I was on a motorcycle. Parked at end of adjacent long driveway and walked over.

    1. WHY on earth would you do that? Kick in doors? No one should even trespass on private property, although all of us who are interested in old buildings are very tempted sometimes. But VANDALISM? Serious urbexers never reveal locations of finds for this specific reason, to prevent vandalism. Unfortunately, this one is so near a busy road it can't be kept from the public eye. It will be very difficult to keep it safe.
